Atlantic ritorna! Anche oggi vi portiamo l’America un po’ più vicina e lo facciamo regalandovi il nuovissimo brano di Rome Streetz x Al Divino dal nome Rotten.com. Questo official video lancia il nuovo disco del rapper newyorkese “Noise Kandy 3 – The Overdose. Il titolo ce lo spiega direttamente Rome Streetz: “Rotten.com is an old website that used to show nasty shit like pics of people getting killed etc… I named the song this way cause it’s a body… This shit sounds like what one of the pics on the site looks like”. Ora parlo a nome mio. Rome Streetz è uno degli emergenti americani che secondo me farà strada. Purtroppo o per fortuna questo sound è troppo crudo per il grande pubblico al momento, come lo è la realtà che amiamo ignorare o edulcorare nei nostri discorsi quotidiani. Da quando sono entrato nell’ambiente rap, mi sono trovato a discutere spesso con molti artisti su cosa significhi questa parola che ci risuona nelle casse e nelle cuffie. Rome Streetz non lo spiega, te lo sputa addosso. Le strade che lui racconta non sono nè glorificate nè odiate, per quanto siano maledette, sono quello che sono. Tra speranza e cadaveri, fratelli e tradimenti in nome del denaro, la poetica di questo artista toglie ogni filtro ulteriore alla pura esperienza e osservazione. Rome Streetz di strada ne ha sempre fatta, dategli un beat e vi ci porterà, se avete fegato e stomaco.
